UFCW 770 stands with thousands of airline catering workers and UniteHere! members on Tuesday, Nov. 26, to say ONE JOB SHOULD BE ENOUGH!
Here’s the problem: American Airlines made over $1.9 billion (that’s right, BILLION) in profits in 2018 alone, but pay workers who prepare and load in-flight food poverty wages. Workers can’t even afford health insurance on the company’s plan.
Airport catering workers are subjected to harsh conditions to make sure airline passengers are fed. There is no reason why these workers should have to work 60+ hours a week just to make ends meet while these multi-billion dollar airlines continue to grow their profits.
Workers across the nation are rising up and putting their livelihoods on the line. To win, they need our support! Let’s join them in telling American Airlines that One Job Should Be Enough!
If you can’t join, please take action by signing their petition here.
