UFCW 770 President Kathy Finn Named to LA Mayor Karen Bass’ Transition Advisory Team
Endorsing the right candidates for working people and getting them elected is an important part of the work we do, but the election is not the end of our push. We must stay involved to make sure elected officials follow through on their promises.
To that end, we are proud to announce that UFCW 770 President Kathy Finn has been chosen to join LA Mayor-elect Karen Bass’ transition advisory team to provide advice through the first 100 days of her administration.
This is an inflection point for the City of Los Angeles, and we cannot afford to slow down. We are proud to see that Mayor Bass is taking the responsibility seriously by collaborating with strong Union and Community leaders to bring the needed change and healing to the city.
President Finn will have a strong voice at the table to guide the incoming Mayor on issues that impact workers, and the communities that we serve throughout the City of Los Angeles.
Regardless of where our members work, this is a victory for every UFCW 770 member. We have seen time and again that the victories we have in LA city, can spread to other cities, the state, and across the nation.
But when those 100 days pass, rest assured that our union will continue to have a strong voice in LA City Hall.
Our future, our fight!
