Worker Solidarity at the IU Food Processing Chain Conference

With the purpose of developing workers’ capacities and growing their strength, UFCW 770 member leaders are attending the International Food Processing, Packing and Manufacturing (FPPM) Division chain conference held on August 29-31, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Workers from Farmer John, Overhill Farms, Rogers Poultry, and Palisades Ranch gathered to learn and discuss current issues that are affecting their industries and have a direct impact on workers and their families. Members had the opportunity to participate in these workshops and enrich their knowledge of their industry and interact with our siblings from other UFCW locals.

Topics at the conference ranged from Health and Safety to leading effective orientations. The information we learned at this conference will help us shape the way we do our work and how we will continue to grow our strength.
